Rhododendron's (Slow) Retreat

Here's an example of how dramatically the wood changes when the rhododendron has been cleared. The tree has been painted with a letter - 'L' in this instance - so that before and afte in the specific part of the wood can be identified. That way the Rural Payments Agency can be confident that we really have done our work before they pay out their grant aid for rhododendron clearance. We have until next April to comlete the clearance of the wood.
